Excitement at the river late this afternoon! While doing dishes, looking out the kitchen window a fire was spotted out by the road. Here you can see a view from the house, looking out at the road, and (below) two other "after" pictures at the scene.
Sorry no pictures of the fire itself. Our resident photographer was cutting a new trail/firebreak with the tractor, and helping to tamp out the fire.
All's well that ends well.
THANKS to the Linden Volunteer Fire Department. Soon after a call to 911 several folks arrived and tamped out the fire at its edges; then they stood by to be sure no more fires popped up.
